Things and Thoughts: Dean Browell

"Attack of the Commentary!" or, "Roo & Religion"

So, the concert-daydream hangover that is the Bonnaroo artist announcement is trailing off a bit but still few clear answers. Or should I say, conclusions. The answer is, "Hells Yes" of course. But what form? A whole week to stew in that. All the way from Austrailia I've heard from Amanda and she's in, for sure. Cor's on the fence- she knows she'd have a good time, but this a more Dean-centric vacation and as such it lends itself to Cor going to to Indiana for a week with Addy in exchange. There's talk of a Yorkness contingent by RV, but it may take more organizing than we thing to ensure everyone has a ticket. (I might be way wrong, but something tells me this thing will sell out fast like the first couple of years; They reduced capacity this year too.) I would love to go VIP, and it would be totally worth it, but it's the paying for it all at once like that, and by the pair, that kills. [info]twigmama is in at the general ticket level with possibly another or two from her line of buds, but they are camping fans so we could wagon train but might end up in different areas depending on which ticket/RV/I'm-not-fucking-camping direction we go.

Anyway.

I discovered a new (to me) band, "The 88," who were on G4 this week. They sound like Josh Ritter fucked Rod Stewart before a Rooney show, and were pretty cool. Thankfully, they're on eMusic.

So, Cor's gone to pick up her Mom, who will be in for a couple of weeks. In those week's lots of little stuff will happen-- a couple of work trips, Brockton's wedding, and the ecclesiastical earthquake that is us joining a church.

I'll let that one sink in for a sec.

More after the cut. In fact, a spiritual discussion of normal Dean sorts is there. Your call to read. )
