I like lists, but I feel like big end-of-the-year lists end up favoring late releases. That pretty much goes for life too- the memories of great big things from earlier in the year make the cut, but more recent things of lesser value tend to crowd up lists.

Anyway, that goes for this list too. First, here's my album picks (there's ten, but not in any order):
Hotel Lights: Hotel Lights
Pearl Jam: Pearl Jam
Bare Jr.: Knick Knacks & Paddy Whacks (live)
Mike Doughty: Live Bonnaroo 2006
Jennifer O'Connor: Over the Mountains Across The Valley and Into the Stars
Modwheelmood: Enemies & Immigrants
Regina Spektor: Begin to Hope
Josh Ritter: The Animal Years
Gomez: How We Operate
Margot and The Nuclear So & So's: The Dust of Retreat

Live shows:
NIN w/ TV on the Radio & Bauhaus in Va Beach
Bonnaroo 2006 (60+)
Kermit Ruffins at Jin Jeans NOLA
Pearl Jam and My Morning Jacket in Chicago (16 & 17)
NIN w/ Saul Williams in Richmond
Hotel Lights / Jennifer O'Connor in Greensboro
Preservation Hall Jazz Band in NOLA
Victor Wooten in Roanoke

Best outright performances:
World Party at Bonnaroo
NIN in Va Beach

Best live DVD:
My Morning Jacket: Okonokos

Best live album/recording:
Mike Doughty from Bonnaroo 2006 - bootleg (the "official" version cuts out 2 songs)
Pearl Jam, Chicago 2006 (16 & 17) - official

Most freedy'd songs:
Jennifer O'Connor, "Century Estates"
NIN, TV on the Radio & Peter Murphy (live), "Dreams"
Regina Spektor, "On The Radio"
Pearl Jam, "Gone"

Thank you and good afternoon.
